Google Plus Versus Other Social Media: An Interview with Guy Kawasaki

Recently Kersten Kloss and I had the pleasure of interviewing Guy Kawasaki on his book “What the Plus – Google + For the Rest Of Us”.

Guy talked about numerous things including Google Plus Versus Other Social Media.

Here is a transcription from the Google Plus Versus Other Social Media Video:

Interesting you brought up about the Facebook one, that’s almost censorship, maybe if you wanna call it that uh…but I think in the book either way it was a very small percentage of people who actually really get to see your posts.

They say it’s about ten percent which i find absolutely bizarre. Like these people have opted in to see what you share and yet Facebook is deciding that nine out of ten people should not be able to see that.

Just i’d I have a hard time wrapping my mind around that is it’s like if you bought season tickets for the Flames but the only let you go to ten percent of the games because they decided that well you know you’re interested in the sharks but you’re not interested in the rangers so we took you out of the ranges uh…

The analogies kinda breaks down because Facebook is free, you haven’t paid for those tickets.

Absolutely, Kersten and I have had rants on Facebook before that uh…i still don’t get it I was told people that it’s like i’m sure, I just want someone to educate me showing exactly what it is right but I can’t get anyone to do it.

Maybe i’ll write what the Facebook.

Na, stick to this, I think you are better of on this one here
