Facebook Text Messaging Marketing
Want to see a great marketing tip? Ever thought of Facebook Text Messaging Marketing?
This is a great tip I picked up from an interview I recently did with Dave Kerpen, the New York Times Best Selling Author of “Likeable Social Media”.
In Dave’s book, he goes over a under utilized Facebook Marketing tip where you can like a page from your phone by texting “like page name” to 32665. Give it a try. Text “like salestipaday” to 32665 and you will like my Facebook page, make sure that you remove the quotations marks.
Why and Where You Can Use Facebook Text Messaging Marketing:
First off you want people to like your Facebook page so that you can have someone’s network see that their friend or connection liked your page, which could lead to others seeing your page (and your offerings).
Where you can use Facebook Text Messaging Marketing include:
- Have restaurant patrons text your page while they are in the restaurant and give them a discount
- Have patients in a doctors office like your page while they are waiting
- If you are advertising in print media or somewhere, have a blurb to have people text “like your page” to 32665.
- On the back of your business card
- Almost anywhere
How To Set Up Facebook Mobile to Help With Facebook Text Messaging Marketing:
Here are the steps you need to take to set up Facebook Mobile to help with your Facebook Text Messaging Marketing.
1. Go to your account and select “Account Settings” in the upper right hand corner:
2. Once you are on the account page, on the left hand side, select “Mobile”:
3. Activate your Facebook Texts by follow the directions online:
