Twitter and RSS – Automated Marketing Message
Recently I wrote an ebook entitled “10 Twitter Marketing Tips and Tricks“. One of the tactics that I showed was how to use a piece of software called “Tweet Adder” to help automate a lot of repetitive Twitter tasks. One of the tasks that Tweet Adder does well is you can use Twitter and RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds to automatically generate Tweets.

This is a huge advantage when it comes to marketing as you can take any content you create, say like a blog post, and any time that you update your site, Tweet Adder will automatically send out the description or title as a tweet.
An added feature is that is also allows you to add a Prefix or Suffix to your tweet. For example, I have a real estate client in Calgary, Mountain Park Real Estate. Every time they add a new home to their web site, it is automatically tweeted with the suffixes #YYC and #YYCRE. Both of these tags are for the Calgary area and one is specifically for anything Calgary (#yyc) and the other is for Real Estate in Calgary (#yycre). This way they don’t have to post tweets every time they add a house to their website.
